Michael is currently reading Music BA Hons at Newcastle University, studying performance with Gabriel Waite of the Northern Sinfonia.

Michael has played for orchestras and ensembles since 1998, playing for many occasions at countless venues around the UK and also Europe.

Michael is a member of the Soundpower Orchestra: a professional stage orchestra in the North of England, Newcastle Sinfonietta, Newcastle University Symphony Orchestra, Newcastle University Contemporary Music Ensemble, and Newcastle University Viol Consort. He increasingly performs for theatrical societies in the region.
